This week commemorates the 44th anniversary of the historic Yom Kippur War of 1973. In JBS's Jewish Film Festival, see the gripping documentary of an Israeli miracle, "The Battle Over The Soul," which tells the story of a handful of Israel soldiers who held off the entire Syrian Army in the opening day of the war - a victory which literally saved the northern portion of Israel. L'Chayim: Dan Almagor on the Battle of Tel Saki of the Six-Day War

And on Saturday's L'Chayim, meet the producer of the film, Dan Almagor, a heroic survivor of the Battle of Tel Saki on the Golan Heights. Dan describes how his tiny unit was able to hold off a division of 11,000 Syrians with 900 tanks and how a bond of love and friendship led to the rescue of the wounded survivor. Dan Almagor also is the founding head of a museum foundation at Tel Saki. Saturday - 7:30pm

In Community Partnership with PJ Library Miami, Temple Beth Sholom invites you to celebrate Sukkot with Shalom Family, their young family, nature-based Jewish events community, by participating in Earth-based activities on a local, urban farm.

Here families will be able to: -Visit with and Feed Farm Animals -Taste Honey from a Beehive -Plant Seeds -Assist with Compost -Read PJ Library Books -Make Art -Experience all of the above through an age-appropriate Jewish lens (for both children and parents!)

Suggested age of children 0-5 and older siblings. Parents and other family members, this is for you too!!!

Israeli Dance - Rikudim "Dances of the People"

Rikudim, or "Dances of the People", is a fun form of dance performed to popular Israeli songs. Join internationally experienced choreographer Karem, as she takes you through what promises to be an engaging and enlightening dance workout. Rikudim Group Exercise classes take place every Monday at 7pm in the Alper JCC Fitness Center. Classes are free for JCC Members and guests can attend by purchasing a $10 guest pass. Calling all teen leaders! Do you have what it takes to be a Stephen Muss Impact Fellow?
The Stephen Muss Impact Fellowship prepares a select group of high school students to take their place as future Jewish change-makers. Study abroad at Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) and then return home as an “ambassador” for Israel and an impactful leader in the Jewish community.
