Welcome to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s Super Sunday. Thank you for volunteering. Below you will find all the information you need to make this a successful day. If you need anything, please email our Help Desk at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 305.576.4000.
Hi! My name is ______ and I’m volunteering for the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Today is Super Sunday! 🎉🎉Last year, you donated _____. Would you consider a donation of ______ (see suggested amount on platform)? You can pay easily at jewishmiami.org/sunday22.
As we continue to recover from the effects of the pandemic, our brothers and sisters in Ukraine are facing unimaginable danger. Through your donation to the Annual Greater Miami Jewish Federation/UJA Campaign, an existing network of humanitarian agencies were able to spring into action immediately to provide rescue, relief and resettlement for the 200,000 Jews living in the war-torn country.
While all eyes are on Ukraine, Federation continues to support a variety of critical needs in Miami and Israel.
Since the pandemic began, we have served more than 40,000 individuals and families through 32 Free Kosher Food Distribution Drive-Thrus.
In the aftermath of the catastrophic collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside, we contributed more than $1.6 million in direct financial assistance to survivors of the tragedy and their families.
Federation provided 10 Jewish day schools with an additional $2 million to sustain their essential work through the pandemic, while following new health and safety guidelines. This is in addition to the more than $1.8 million that the Annual Campaign already provides for Jewish day school education.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY FEDERATION EXISTS
Our holy work on behalf of the Jewish community relies on you.
Will you please consider helping us with a donation of $ ______ (see suggested amount on platform)? You may make a direct payment at jewishmiami.org/sunday22.
Thank you, ________________
PS: If you or someone you know is in need of help, you can call the Jewish community’s 24-hour helpline at 305.576.6550. It’s totally confidential and someone there will be able to address your specific needs.
Thanks to the vision of philanthropist Saul Schottenstein, of blessed memory, clients of Jewish Community Services Kosher Food Bank, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation’s primary human service agency, will welcomed 5783 with joy, dignity and a few special touches.
Repair the World – Miami (RTW), a movement committed to social justice through community service and learning, managed by Federation’s Jewish Volunteer Center (JVC), will kick off a new year of activities with a Meet the Fellows Shabbat dinner this evening at 7 p.m., at Naomi’s Garden in Miami.
The Israeli nonprofit Reboot Start-Up Nation is partnering with The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) to help immigrants and refugees displaced by the war in Ukraine to secure hi-tech jobs in Israel.
The Mission of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is to mobilize human and financial resources to care for those in need, strengthen Jewish life and advance the unity, values and shared purpose of the Jewish people in Miami, in Israel and around the world.
