Dear _______,
In these difficult times, the Jewish community is facing new and unimaginable challenges. Today, 1 in 5 people in our Jewish community relies on the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for financial assistance or access to Jewish life — an increase of 60 percent from just a few years ago. Your donation to the Annual Federation Campaign allows us to assist those impacted by the Israel-Hamas war, address the shocking rise in violent antisemitic acts and support our network of agencies in the face of continuing inflation, among other issues.
Currently, we are providing immediate and long-term financial and emotional support to Israelis experiencing trauma, loss and uncertainty since Hamas' deadly terrorist attack on October 7.
With alarming antisemitism nationwide, our Office of Community Security works with 120 Miami-Dade organizations to keep our local schools, synagogues and institutions safe and better secure our Jewish way of life.
Due to continuing inflation, the costs to provide vital services to the vulnerable have risen dramatically. Your increased gift to the Annual Federation Campaign is urgently needed to meet these rising costs and enable Federation and its partners to bring help and hope to those facing tremendous difficulties.
Your last gift was $ ______. Would you consider making a donation today to the 2025 campaign? You can make a direct payment at jewishmiami.org/gift/supersunday.
Thank you.
P.S. If you or someone you know is in need of help, you can call the Jewish community’s 24-hour helpline at 305.576.6550. It’s confidential and someone there will be able to address your specific needs.
Offered at a variety of cemeteries and virtually on Zoom, participants will join together in memory and prayer and light a yahrzeit candle for those who brought light into this world. Following the short program, you can visit the graves of loved ones with relevant materials provided.
The Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Rabbinical Association of Greater Miami are once again partnering with local synagogues to make High Holiday services accessible to all.
As we approach the High Holidays, it’s important to remember that all people — those with disabilities and those without — want to participate in community prayer. That is why Federation’s Miami Jewish Abilities Alliance (MJAA) is sharing valuable resources to elevate worship and celebrate Judaism.
Hundreds of people from across Jewish Miami gathered recently at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens to thank the outgoing Federation Women’s Philanthropy Board of Directors for their outstanding service and to install new leadership for the coming year.
The Mission of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is to mobilize human and financial resources to care for those in need, strengthen Jewish life and advance the unity, values and shared purpose of the Jewish people in Miami, in Israel and around the world.
