All Aboard the Soul Train! Your Two-Stop Journey to a More Meaningful High Holy Days
No, “Soul Train” isn’t just a retro music show—it’s about preparing our souls to fully embrace the sacred power of the High Holy Days. Join Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin, author of Inviting God In: A Guide to Jewish Prayer, and Dr. Sandra Lilienthal—one of CAJE’s most beloved teachers, as they guide us through the deeper meaning of High Holy Day prayer.
September 10th with Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin
September 17th with Dr. Sandra Lilienthal
Together, we’ll explore why prayer doesn’t always connect for us, and how it can become relevant, moving, and even transformative. Through insight, reflection, and discussion, this two-week journey will help you enter the holiday season with a renewed sense of purpose and spiritual readiness.
CAJE Adult Learning is joining forces with Wisdom Without Walls to present this two-session online series Wednesdays from 12:00–1:30 pm (ET). The course blends insight, reflection, and dialogue to prepare your heart and spirit for the Days of Awe.

Teen Israel Academy for High School Juniors and Seniors
Posted by Lauren Gold on 08/21/2025 @ 06:59 AM
Apply by Friday, September 12
High school juniors and seniors can apply now for the second cohort of Teen Israel Academy, an exciting new kind of Israel education that provides a safe academic space to grapple with Israel’s complexities and challenging questions. With the dramatic rise in worldwide antisemitism and anti-Israel rhetoric, it is critical that students understand the complexities of our Jewish homeland — both its miracles and its challenges — before heading off to college.
Funded by Federation, the goal of the academically rigorous program is to provide a new kind of Israeli education for teens and their parents that examines Israeli history and society, including the intricacies Israel faces within its own borders, with its neighbors and with the world, and provide a meaningful and relevant introduction to many of the fundamental questions that remain at the heart of the Jewish people and State of Israel.
