Broadway Legend Jack Viertel delves into the history and songwriting background of acclaimed lyricist and composer Stephen Sondheim, while a live orchestra and a quartet of professional singers bring his most popular lyrics and music to life. Sondheim, who died in 2021, had an extraordinary career that includes some of the most iconic works of 20th-century musical theater, including West Side Story, Gypsy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods, among others.

Acclaimed Black composer Adolphus Hailstork‘s Piano Trio begins with a commemoration of the Jewish Holocaust and ends with a lively dance. The Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF), the world’s largest Jewish and Israeli film festival, proudly announces the full program for its 29th edition, returning January 14-29, 2026, with its most expansive lineup to date.
