Taglit-Birthright Israel

Taglit-Birthright Israel provides the gift of free, first-time, peer-group, educational trips to Israel for Jewish young adults, ages 18 to 26. Taglit-Birthright Israel’s founders created this program to send thousands of young Jewish adults from all over the world to Israel as a gift in order to diminish the growing division between Israel and Jewish communities around the world; to strengthen the sense of solidarity among world Jewry; and to strengthen participants’ personal Jewish identity and connection to the Jewish people. With funding from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, more than 3,000 people from Miami and the surrounding area have taken part in Taglit-Birthright Israel since it launched more than a decade ago.

Taglit Birthright Summer 2014 - Day 1

I'm a proud Jewish young man who joined this adventure with not a single expectation in mind. Already I couldn't be more excited. Everyone seems so amazingly welcoming. Coming from a guy who gets all kinds of stereotypes, these my fellow Jewish peers, showed me nothing but love and whole hearted openness. I'm not afraid to speak up and be myself with all of these new amazing people.
