JEWISH FOOD FESTIVAL
Posted by Danny Marmorstein on 05/01/2018 @ 06:46 AM
Remember the anticipation you experienced as a child as your family was preparing for a holiday? Mom and Grandma were cooking in the kitchen, and the house was filled with scrumptious fragrances! You couldn't wait to sink your teeth into that juicy brisket or chicken soup, chomp on the bones from the short ribs, and pile the applesauce on the latkes. Maybe it was the aroma of the chickens roasting or the pies baking in the oven that take you back to that comforting time in your lives. Wait no more to munch on your favorite treats, and those fabulous days communing with family and friends. On May 12th at 7:00pm in the Oneg Room at Temple Ahavat Olam we will be hosting our Third Annual Jewish Food Festival and you are fortunate to be some of our most important guests and fressors. Please invite your friends and family to join us, too. The cost per diner is $30.00, which entitles you to eat and drink to your hearts and stomachs are content. Don't miss this opportunity for a unique evening of culinary delights, "just like BUBBIE used to make".
RSVP now, as this event SELLS OUT every year, and tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door. [email protected] 305-412-4240 Ahavat Olam is located on the grounds of Killian Pines United Methodist Church, 10755 SW 112 Street, in Kendall, 33176

Posted by Liat Stilman on 04/25/2018 @ 10:31 AM
It was an incredible week celebrating Israel’s 70th birthday with 825 Miamians in the country we all consider our spiritual home. Young leaders experienced this special anniversary side by side with Holocaust survivors. Long-time community leaders reunited to help us honor this historic journey. And many discovered the wonders of Israel for the very first time. We are proud to share that this was the largest Miami Mission to Israel in Federation’s history.
