In 2008, his descendants unleash an unprecedented financial disaster. The spectacular rise and fall of Lehman Brothers is both an intimate family saga and a colossal exposé of unquenchable capitalism. James Zannelli, Mark H. The Untold Story of Sefarad & the Holocaust

Holocaust awareness is usually associated with Ashkenazi Jews. This event will discuss the little-known fact that the Shoah also devastated Sefardic Jewry, descendants of Iberian Jews who survived massacres, forced conversions, expulsion, and Inquisition.

JHA is a nonprofit global organization dedicated to researching, preserving, and promoting the legacy of Sefarad.

Dr. Isaac Amon, JHA Director of Academic Research, earned a J.D., LL.M, PhD from Washington University in St. Louis. He worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague and investigated ISIS.

In 2004, Holocaust Impact Theater (HIT) embarked on a mission to educate and inspire teens through the power of the arts. Now in its 19th year of production, HIT continues to provide local high school students a platform to write, produce, perform and direct original scripts dealing with timely, relevant issues of social injustice and intolerance, all with the underlying goal of promoting Holocaust education and remembrance.

This year’s show is entitled PLEDGE. The play focuses on the rise of antisemitism on college campuses.

The production boasts a team of more than 20 high school teens, each receiving 150 hours of community service for their contributions.

The narrative unfolds chronologically, weaving together their firsthand accounts to construct a record of the events.
