Sylvia Tuman College Scholarships Now Available


Attention, college and graduate students! Apply now to receive a grant from the Sylvia Tuman Scholarship Program, administered by The Foundation of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.


The Sylvia Tuman Scholarship Program provides a limited number of scholarships for Jewish students who require financial assistance to further their education. Students must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college or university located in Miami-Dade or Broward counties. Preference is given to institutions in Miami-Dade County.

A Workshop for 11th and 12th Grade Teens and Parents

Embrace who you are.

Learn how to support Israel on campus.

Discover the many ways to connect to Jewish life in college and gain tools and resources to support Israel with pride.

The program is open to 11th and 12th graders and their parent(s)/guardian(s).

Separate sessions will be held for teens and adults.

Onward Israel Career Passport

Wish you could take your job remotely to Tel Aviv for a month? Now you can with Onward Israel’s Career Passport program.


If you are a Jewish young professional 22 - 32 years old, with a job that you can do remotely, this program is designed for you!

Participants receive housing in Tel Aviv and access to a co-working space, with the freedom to experience Israeli life and culture like a local.

Enjoy day trips, weekly workshops and a Shabbat retreat alongside others your age from all over North America and beyond.

Program cost includes housing in Tel Aviv for 4 weeks, educational trips and workshops, bus transit cards, and basic medical insurance. Participants are responsible for flights, food, and personal expenses.

This program is heavily subsidized by a variety of philanthropic bodies including Federation, Masa Israel Programs and the Birthright Foundation.

Israeli Sephardic Music Festival featuring Kulna Yerucham

Kulna Israeli Sephardic Music Fest

Kulna is a nonprofit organization in Miami’s partner city of Yerucham in Israel's Negev region. The Kulna mission is to elevate Sephardic culture in Israeli society and educate younger generations about Judeo-Moroccan heritage both in Israel and in Morocco.

Stephen Muss Impact Fellowship Application Date Extended!

Spend a high school semester in Israel! The Alexander Muss High School in Israel is seeking student leaders for the 2022 Stephen Muss Impact Fellowship. Jewish students entering their sophomore or junior year of high school, residing in Miami-Dade County, and attending a public or private school are invited to apply.

Overnight Summer Camp Scholarships Now Available

The Greater Miami Jewish Federation continues to make the Jewish overnight summer camp experience more affordable for Miami-Dade County families. Federation is currently accepting applications for 2022 Need-Based Jewish Overnight Summer Camp Scholarships for children between the ages of 8 and 17.

Camper Eligibility Criteria:
• Miami-Dade County resident
• Ages 8 – 17
• Completed online application, see link below
• 2020 income tax return (Form 1040)
• Camp acceptance letter or invoice

Camp Eligibility:
• Funding assistance is available for Jewish overnight camps listed on the Foundation for Jewish Camp website, click here to find an eligible camp
• summer camp must be located in the United States
• Financial assistance is limited to one session only

Application deadline is Monday, January 31, 2022 . Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Late applications will not be accepted.

Recognizing that Jewish overnight camp is a significant vehicle for Jewish engagement, the Annual Federation /UJA Campaign has allocated a significant amount of funding each year since 2002 for financial assistance. Scholarships are awarded for a variety of overnight camps from all religious streams.
